From Farm to Fiber

Our handspun collection begins with fiber from small local farms. We then transform it by hand into luxurious yarns

Welcome to Strawberry Blue Farm

We make slow yarn.

Transforming raw fiber into yarn is a long and lingering process. It is one that begins with sheep grazing in pastures for an entire year as we wait for their wool to grow soft and full. Then comes the shearing, washing, and carding, followed by the spinning and the dyeing. And even then, it takes time for the yarn to slowly drip dry before the skeining. This is a process that simply refuses to be rushed. The resulting yarn feels almost like an invitation—a prompting to slow down, to create with intention, and to hold in your hands something that still remembers where it came from. Slow yarn is a reminder and a whisper that transformation is always worth the wait.
